European Sales Conference 2009

Arthur Habermann GmbH & Co. KG used the present economic situation as well as the change in management as an opportunity to hold a two-day European Sales Conference in 2009 with the employees of the outdoor and indoor service of the Department of Suction Dredgers/Pumps from all over Europe. On the first day of the conference the new management, represented by Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Schäfer and the Certified Economist Ekkehard Fromme, gave a report on current figures and changes, such as the introduction of an efficient ERP system, improvements in the organization of the production as well as the employment of new employees in key positions in the company. In another subject area the wholly-owned subsidiary HAWI Elektrotechnik GmbH presented suction dredger control systems and fully automatic plants developed and produced by their company as well as their range of services. The second day was devoted to the pump technology. The new face seal HGD-I as well as the further developed HGD-II and HGD-III were presented. Against the background of an optimized after-sales service, the sales team was instructed regarding the problem of pump designing including practical training with a demonstration pump.
