Machine status analysis
Machine status analysis Grundfos offer the machine status analysis in order to prevent an unexpected failure of a plant. The Grundfos service will locally measure oscillations and pulses of the installed pump (Fig.). The interpretation of these data permits to draw conclusions as regards the efficiency of the pump. Imminent damages can be identified at an early stage. Current data concerning the machine conditions are the basis for a state-oriented maintenance. These data are acquired by means of two methods. The acquired oscillation speed according to the ISIO standard shows a survey of the general machine status. The measured values can directly be assigned to a damage syndrome, such as unbalance, misalignment or structural weakness. The measurement of pulses indicates roller bearing damages and lubrication problems in a detailed way and at an early stage. The condition of the checked pumps can be evaluated based on the measurement results.
